NEW RESORT: Kakisa Dive Resort in Bacong, Dgt

(Updated as of Sept 9, 2016) Just a 15-minute ride from the heart of Dumaguete City, a newly built resort just opened last January 28, 2016 perfectly timed for summer. The resort features mostly everything we need: function hall, picnic area, bar and restaurant, a big pool (children-friendly), clean and spacious rooms for overnight stay, and a beautiful panoramic view of the sea.

With its very affordable entrance fee (adult- 80; children- 50), this place might be the perfect resort to unwind, relax and simply have fun (On a budget!). As savvy and practical as I am, i'm happy this resort won't get me broke!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get much photos and information since there were a lot of people and the owners were really busy during the opening. I do hope I could visit again as soon as I can to fully capture how beautiful the resort actually is. I sure did not give any justice with the photos I took. My apologies. 😂

How to get here:

• From Dumaguete City, you can offer (Perhaps P80-P100) a pedicab to take you to Bacong Park, have him turn left to the right side of the park, then turn right again to the second road you see on the right.

• If you're using a private transportation, simply go straight up south of Dumaguete until you reach Bacong proper. You would see a park right beside a school. Turn left on the second road going towards the side of the sea. From there, turn right on the second road and you'll immediately see a big white gate with the name of the resort (of course!). You're good to go!

• ....and if you're on a tight budget, you can directly go to the jeepney station for Bacong near YANYAN, Sta. Rosa. Tell the driver ahead to stop you at Bacong Park then you can just walk to the resort for 2-3 minutes by following the directions I wrote earlier (sorry i'm so lazy to explain again lol).
